This special workshop will include an introductory talk about the pelvic floor by Physical Therapist and Iyengar Yoga practitioner Jessica Jenkins. Karen Allgire will then guide students in asana and pranayama practices designed to cultivate sensitivity in the pelvic floor, and to develop both strength and relaxation of this important structure. The pelvic floor muscles help support the abdominal organs, and are connected to healthy elimination, sexual function and breathing.
